Why Mal's Pals ?

The idea behind our mission came to fruition in 2014 when Mallory, a little Dorchester girl, was born and diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, called Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome. Upon diagnosis, her parents, family, and their friends were left with little information and essentially no guidance in the navigation of needs or expectations for Mallory’s future.

With help from our supporters, our community, and our board members, we hope that one day Mal’s Pals can be there for families who are initially shocked and somewhat distraught by this unexpected diagnosis. Mal’s Pals will one day be a place parents can turn to for answers, other testimonials and use as a networking vessel to connect and share experiences with other willing families. As we grow in number and funds, we hope to host conferences, both social and educational for these families.
